HONORING A HERO: Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Mourns the Unexpected Passing of K-9 Robbi. 
Our hearts are incredibly heavy as we share some deeply saddening and unexpected news from our law enforcement family. The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the sudden loss of one of its finest four-legged protectors, K-9 Robbi.
Robbi was tragically discovered unresponsive by his dedicated handler. He was rushed to the emergency team at Sweetwater Animal Hospital, where the medical staff worked diligently but ultimately determined that our brave boy had passed away from natural causes.
Though his time with the agency was far too short, Robbi left an undeniable mark on the community he protected. Joining the Sheriff’s Office in September 2023, he quickly proved himself to be a consistent, elite asset on the streets. He was a fearless partner, a devoted tracker, and an incredible protector who gave his all during every single shift.
Just recently, Robbi was highly celebrated by the department and local community for his phenomenal work in tracking down and safely apprehending a suspected bank robber—a true testament to his sharp training and unwavering courage.
The department shared a beautiful, heartbreaking reflection on his legacy:
“This is not the final chapter anyone wanted for Robbi, but it will not erase the amazing story he helped write for our agency and our community.”
Our working K-9s count on us for everything, and they protect us with a level of loyalty that is hard to put into words. To lose a dedicated partner so suddenly leaves a massive void in the hearts of his handler, his fellow deputies, and the entire community he kept safe.
Robbi, your watch is ended. Thank you for your service, your bravery, and your flawless dedication to Coweta County. You will never be forgotten. Job well done, good boy.
