HE’S COMING HOME! K-9 Havoc Officially Discharged From the Hospital After Being Shot in the Line of Duty! 
Miracles do happen, and this morning, our hearts are absolutely bursting with joy! Following the intense incident earlier this week where he courageously shielded his team while tracking a dangerous suspect, the incredibly brave K-9 Havoc has hit the ultimate milestone: He has been officially discharged from the hospital! 
On Saturday morning, the heroic pup walked out of the Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital at Auburn University on his own four paws. But he didn’t just slide back into a patrol car unnoticed—he received a homecoming fit for a true warrior. 
To honor his unbelievable bravery and ensure his journey home was completely safe, a massive coalition of local law enforcement stepped up. The Auburn and Opelika Police Departments, alongside the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, joined forces with the Columbus Police Department’s motor squad to provide Havoc with a massive, rolling formal police escort out of the hospital gates! 
The department shared the best news we could have ever hoped for regarding his medical outlook:
Full Recovery Expected: The incredible veterinary trauma team expects Havoc to make a 100% full, complete recovery over the next three months! 
Heading Home: He is officially resting where he belongs—surrounded by his loving family and his dedicated handler, who has been by his side through every single heartbeat of this nightmare. 
Havoc stood between a threat and human lives without a single hesitation. He took the brunt of the danger so his human partner and team could make it home safe. Now, seeing the community and multiple agencies rally together to give him a hero’s escort reminds us of the true power of the law enforcement family.
